Dearest Aiden,
When you wake up, the dog wakes up. When Mommy puts you in the big bed with her and the dog is located there also, please keep in mind that Mommy would love to go back to sleep. 3:30am is not an appropriate time to decide to make friends with the dog.
Speaking of the dog, when the dog gets into trouble, your commentary and laughter is not necessary. The dog does not laugh when you get into trouble.
The Christmas presents under the tree are not necessarily yours. There is no need to unwrap them. The reason they are there is so that you do not attack the tree and the decorations. Consider them the Great Wall of Aiden. Do not breach the barrier.
As you have noticed, your toys have been deported back to your bedroom. Once again, it is not necessary to smuggle them back into the living room.
When eating, your plate contains the exact same food items as the rest of the family. It is not necessary to dump yours on the floor and then crawl up into someone's lap expecting to eat their food.
When we are traveling in the truck and your cup is placed in your possession, please do not feel the need to chunk it anywhere. I don't think they are meant to be thrown. You are in a closed area, there are no friends around, it is not a distance contest.
The dog's water bowl is not to be confused as a sink. Please do not wash your hands in it.
Dog food is meant to be consumed by the dog, not little boys.
When the television station gets changed during a commercial, you do not need to yell "Hey!" Just sayin...
When assisting Mommy with putting away the dishes, please refrain from mixing dog food with the utensils.
Please do not open the CD/DVD player on your own. Someone will assist you in that.
The cords on Mommy's computer tower are there for a reason. Please do not think you need to pull out the mouse cord when Mommy is in the middle of something.
As you have noticed, there are battery chargers located throughout the house. Please refrain from unplugging them and taking out the batteries. Mommy uses those batteries for electronic devices.
As always, these rules are put into effect for multiple reasons. Please think of these rules the next time you decide to break one.
Lovingly,
Mommy
